As you say, it depends where you are. Australia mostly will go into
summer time as we drop back to winter time, hence the two hour
difference for me. But if your area does not have summer time, or
changes more than one hour, it will be a different number of hours than
that! 

It gets me confused sometimes, but at least once I have got it right, it
is set for a few months! Andrew has pointed you at a web site that will
calculate it all out for you.

These time zones can be confusing. I was actually thinking it would be
evening there. That would of course have been Thursday evening, not
Friday, but as they are -09:00, that would indeed make it early Friday
morning. It reminds me of the time I flew from Australia to LA, and got
there before I left. Having flown east to Australia, it all kind of
balanced out in the end...
