Re: Shall an Unidisk 3.5 connected to IIGS smart port, boot troubleless?

The UniDisk 3.5" can boot. But if you have an AppleDisk 3.5" - the
UniDisk 3.5" needs to be after it.

The UniDisk 3.5" uses a default 4:1 interleave where as the AppleDisk
3.5" is 2:1.

This alone causes Weird Things to happen with certain disks and
circumstances.

Like I/O errors when writing, particularly AppleWorks files when
writing on a disk that was formatted at 2:1 on the UniDisk 3.5".

Generally, you're best using those for //c's and Liron cards. Finding
the proper drive for the IIgs is easier. If thats all you got, you may
even be able to get someone to give you two of the other drives for
one.
