Unless you are doing whole volume copies (not files) you may need to
change the volume name for the ram disk volume. So, if you copy SD1
files to ram-disk remove the original disk then name the ram-disk to SD1
which should allow the program to read it.

It sounds to me like a simple case of hard coded directory info but this
is just a guess.
