Tear the drive down and put it back together, cleaned and capable of
spitting a disc across the table in about 10 minutes - when doing it
at marathon speed. ;-)

Speaking of tearing down 3.5" drives...Apple drives have a gratuitously
convoluted structure and disassembly-reassembly sequence.  I think
it was designed by someone who liked Chinese puzzle boxes!  ;-)
