Thank you, Patrick and A2Aviator!Tony Diaz' pictures were most helpful. I didn't have to disassemble the drive quite as far as Tony showed; the problem was in the little motor that drives the eject mechanism. The grease in the little gear-case was all junked up. Cleaned it up and freed it, and the drive works fine, now. Got one done and another to go.
The problem may have been is that these two drives (recently acquired) were very clean and little used. Had they been better used, they probably wouldn't have hardened up so much!
I appreciate the links which gave me the courage to operate on these patients!
