There may have been at one time but I've not seen one available
anywhere. The info file in the archive only mentions differences between
the 4.0 and 4.2 versions. It mentions a speed increase.

Do you have a 3.x manual? If so, I would like to get a scan of that to
post also. While it may not be the final version I feel it could still
be useful.
