The one option I currently have installed on my IIgs is a classic desk
accessory (CDA) called "Variable Timed SHR Screen Saver". It was
originally the STS or "SHR 10-second saver" written in 1987 by Dale T.
Taylor but was updated in 1995 by Tony Ward to have a variable time of 5
to 45 seconds (in increments of 5 seconds) before saving the screen.
As you seem to know already, if you are running an emulator under
Windows, you just have to have the emulator window as the active window
and then hit ALT-PRINT SCREEN to copy the window to the clipboard. No 3
finger salute here. ALT-PRINT SCREEN copies the current window and
PRINT SCREEN by itself copies the entire desktop. Once you've used one
of these keypresses you can then you paste that into an image editting
program and trim out the extra stuff that you don't need.
