The first difference between ROM 1 (my old pal) and ROM 3 (the machine that is given to us recently): Since I connect the Apple IIGS with a video cable to an LCD TV, with ROM 3, the text mode will always result in clear bright monochrome text. But in ROM 1, the text is blur once enter into a graphics mode and back to text mode - it will stay blur until the unit is switch off.
