A trackball from an older 68K powerbook would be a better choice IMHO... also the keyboards are nice and compact, though not as nice as the IIc keyboard.

On another tack: how hard would it be to run one of these off batteries? My understanding is that you'd need both 12V and 5V, so 8+3 AA's??? How much power does a stripped IIgs board use? I'd guess using CFFA instead of floppy drives would cut down considerably on power use...
