I suspect he uses RGB and as he has experience with several
displays he probably did choose the best.

Even in the photos provided I can see significant banding.
LCDs and the IIgs are a difficult problem.

And the fact that it's a laptop *form factor* (though large and
heavy) doesn't mean that it inludes a battery.  ;-)


I don't know his website but Ben isn't afraid to remove slot
sockets to get *enough* space for a battery. Expansion
cards are a no-no anyway.

How long this battery lasts is another question ;->

Right.  ;-)

I put this hack (like most hacks) in the "I thought I could
do it" category.  Practicality isn't the issue for him, so
we shouldn't project practicality on it, either.
