"Free as in speech" is a superset of "free as in beer."  The former implies
the latter, but the latter doesn't imply the former (there's plenty of
freeware for which the source code isn't made available).

Sorry for not getting it...

But I thought that f.a.i.speech referred to its "openness" not its
price (and there are lots of open products that are sold for a price),
while f.a.i.beer clearly refers to the price.

Stallman notes that:  "FreeAsInSpeech software is often sold for
money, making it not FreeAsInBeer."
