I have one of those SASI controllers for the gs, and i heard that some older scsi drives might work with it. Something about SCSI spec 1 is basicly compatable, but isn't with scsi spec 2 drives. anyone know if this is true?
Are you referring to the Xebec adapters? If so, they can kinda, sorta be made to work with _some_ older SCSI-1 devices. Unlike dedicated SCSI controllers, they require that you manage all the bus phases yourself in software. It's a good challenge!
