Personally, I like PDF. But to get it right, you have to have the right
resolution. I think 300-600 DPI scans reduced to 96 DPI should be fine. I
know the images I saw there were hard for my weak eyes to read the text,
hopefully the final scans will be a little bigger. The reason I like PDF
over JPG/PNG is that I get everything in one file and can simply scroll vs.
having to open image after image. Also, PDF prints better (on my printers).
Rather, the quality of the PDF exactly represents what I'll see on paper.
With JPG, it's harder for me to see exactly how it'll look when printed.
