That's not true - the CFFA has an IDE header for attaching an IDE hard
drive as well. This IDE header can also be used to have an external
IDE-to-Compact Flash adapter (which I recently setup after reading
someone else's post on here). Up to now, you only had the option of
one storage device (i.e. no concept of master/slave), but reading the
details of the new firmware, this seems to have been addressed and it
will now be possible to have two devices attached in a master/slave
configuration.
