Hi, I have a few questions as I only have an Apple IIGS with an 800K
disk.

- how do you copy disk to a new empty disk (using just 1 drive)? What
software to use?

Copy II+.. copy disk option, or copy files option
GSOS.. DISK menu, INITIALIZE, then open source disk, drag files onto
target disk. you might have to use RAMDISK as target disk so you
don't have to swap disk out 100times.

- does the software mentioned above works only on ProDOS? (can it be
used to copy says DOS 3.3 disk)?

No FST was ever made for any of the 3.5 DOS's

Copy II Plus's "copy disk" will copy any floppy to another
floppy--it doesn't care about OS's or file systems.
