Once I gave up on ADTPro, I used Contiki for everything.

I am aware of Marinetti, and even have a floppy with Marinetti
installed, but Contiki boots much more quickly than an install of
Marinetti that's been crammed onto an 800k floppy, especially
considering the roundabout way I had to get into the System 6.0.1
launcher so I could get into the control panels (start a Contiki app
from BASIC.SYSTEM, then exit it.) If I had a hard drive (or some form
of CompactFlash/IDE controller - I'll be getting one, and either a 4MB
or 8MB RAM card, soon,) I'd be using Marinetti for this. ;)

I did make sure that I changed the slot on Contiki's configuration,
every time I changed it.

I did some further testing, and noted that the only time the activity
light was blinking during a DHCP request was when it was plugged into
my router, and for a home network with only one user... let's just say
there's a lot of traffic. (A server, two laptops, and now the GS, at
any one time.)

However, I decided to push down on all the ICs on the Uther, to make
sure they were fully seated. One of them was NOT fully seated. I put
the card back in and tried again, with it plugged into the ThinkPad (I
knew it wouldn't successfully get an IP address this way, but I was
just watching for DHCP requests...)

As soon as I turned the GS on, the card link light came on, turned
off, came back on, and then the activity light went nuts. The ThinkPad
got several DHCP request packets from a Wistron MAC address. However,
Contiki still wasn't sending any packets.

I turned off the system, removed the card, and tried another slot, and
then it was back to how it was behaving before.

Glenn, I think I'll take you up on that offer. I'll send you an e-mail
with the IM names I normally use.

Thanks,
