Re: FS: Very Special Apple IIe Collectors System

Hey Guys.

Well, it's ReactiveMicro.com now. Now 100% sure when any new Piggyback
boards will be produced. I need to finish work on a circuit to all us to
use a newer style RAM chip. The old DIP ICs are really expensive compared
to their size. All the new DRAM/SRAM is dual channel which means that a
circuit needs to be created to multiplex the address lines and keep up with
whatever refesh is needed (in the case of DRAM). Just a matter of time till
that's back on the front burner. The new Web Site has really take up a lot
of my time. Finding a programmer who is consistant is really hard. So I've
been forced to do a lot of the work myself, and I'm not by any means a
programmer.

Anyway, I started with that 2 Meg Expander to try and learn how DRAM was
handeled in the IIe. After several attempts at modernizing the card using
existing methods I reallized that something new would need to be created.
The good news is that once I (probably with some help) create a workable
circuit then it should work with all Apple IIs - hence why I started the
IIgs 8 Meg Card project. At that point I'll release any schmatics and CAD
files that people want. Of course if anyone wants to help now then I'd
release what I have. It's not my files are under lock and key either. Just
ask if your interested. I'm all about sharing.

If you guys are really interested in a couple boards then maybe we can work
out a deal for some kits. I could solder them up if you want, but that
would be a few extra bucks, and trust me it's not like these boards would be
cheap to start with.

Drop me an email if you're serious and I'm sure we can work something out.
I do have one original that I never sold. I think Macdog has dibs on it
though.

I know Dean paid over $100 each for those boards, and I thank him for his
past support! I only produced three protos and he bought two of them. I
think Sean has the other as he was the beta tester I think. Or was that
Macdog? I can't remember. It's been a while now. Anyway, they are truly a
'rare' item. For $5 extra I'll even sign them. ;-)
