This is what i have always hoped. a port to IIgs would be nice. it is
my opinion that a version of it could run on a //e given that there is
a C=64 version.
As I understand it the released version is an "updated" codebase to
support the XO. Apparently large portions have been rewritten in C++ so
compiler support might be an issue. Bummer.
According to one of the blog entries:
"@Leo: The original code is basically there (some cleaning up) in the
src distribution. Grab the micropolis-activity-source.tgz file which
contains the C code. The ported C++ code is in the MicropolisCore.tgz file."
I took a quick look, and it does appear that the above statement is
correct. The micropolis-activity-source.tgz does appear to have the C
source code present. I've never done any TCL coding, but I assume all
the .tcl files are for the GUI definition?
At first glance (and it was a quick one), I would guess that the C
source code portion would be possible to port, but the the GUI interface
would need to be re-written from scratch or *heavily* modified.
Now, if only I had a C compiler and a *lot* of time to kill... ;-)
Cheers,
Mike
