And some disks that you transfer with MacADT and ADT really work,

It sounds to me like the .DSK is corrupted.  Does it work in an
emulator before you transfer it?

No, they're the same.

The server version has to be the greater or equal of the client
version.  So, MacADT's server isn't going to understand some of the
protocol extensions of ADTPro client.

My best guess is that the .DSK is corrupted...?
