So, to reply to myself for an ancient thread, my part arrived from
Hong Kong in about 7 weeks. Sheesh.

Anyway, I stopped by Fry's today and bought a "rounded 18-inch UDMA
cable." I made sure to select one where the wires weren't sheathed
where they come in contact with the molex connector itself, so I could
gently fold the wires on top of the connector in order to feed it
through one of the DB-25 cutouts on the back of the GS.

With a little bit of gentle finessing, it went in behind slot-7,
plugging into the CFFA in slot-7. Then I ran the cable to the ebay-
bought CF adapter which sits atop my floppy drive stack, and plugged
in the CF card. Bingo! It works just fine, and now I have a visible
drive-activity light for CF access.

I suppose if I'm feeling saucy, I might build a little enclosure for
the CF adapter, but I have no problem with it being exposed and bare.

Just a postscript to this discussion.

Did anyone else buy one of these adapters?
