Have you found something yet?
I was just browsing and came across this:
http://www.bgmicro.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=12753&HS=1

That certainly fits the bill... and the price is reasonable.>

The web site is honest about the price. $300 elsewhere.

Only issue I can see, is how/where to buy the RS232 cable. The end that
plugs into the device looks non-standard. But maybe they are not too hard to
find. The Citizen web site offered a UK site up for accessories, and they
did not appear to carry anything but ribbons. The Citizen web site did offer
the ability to send a request to sales office for contact - otherwise
directed you to your "nearest Citizen supplier", whoever that may be.

It appears to be a very popular printer (judging from reviews I saw after
Googling it), it is thermal, supports Epson ESC/2 protocol, and isn't a
"Windows" printer, meaning it has built-in fonts.

It can be configured from a Windows PC, or from a built-in menu that prints
to the paper.

I almost want one.

BG Micro also has the paper rolls.

One caveat - I've never bought anything from them. But they've been around a
while, and I probably would.

I've bought from them a couple of times, and they were reliable.
