Re: repair service Mke-Cgo?

I'm looking for someone in the Milwaukee-Chicago corridor to look at/
repair an Apple II+ and a IIe. II+ and disk drive have been tested
ok, but combining them, and also combining with Language Card (II+),
has not worked. This is the configuration I am most eager to get
working.

I can't help with someone to fix them, but you have made me wonder
how you tested the drive and computer separately if they don't work
together.. ;-)

I assume that you used another drive and another computer to do these
tests?

It would be very useful to know exactly how they "don't work".
For example, the II+ will not boot most versions of ProDOS because
of memory limitations, unless a Language Card (16K Card) is installed.

And are you sure that the Language Card is being installed in the II+
correctly--since it involves moving a memory chip from the main board
to the card and installing a jumper cable?

It may be that something needs fixing, but it's hard to tell from
your description, and it may be just configuration issues.
