it was. i cut the end off and hardwired it into the old chinook 20 i had.
worked great. i suppose you could jury rig a gender changer by snipping
off the last 4 slots on one of those tiny gender changers or make your own
from female parts. the atari shops should carry the female sockets.

If only the connector to plug into the //c is needed, then it would
probably be easier to find an old Apple disk drive with a cable and
19-pin molded connector.
