How are you identifying the category the cursor is in? By a peek? By
category name? By position in the layout? Are you in Multiple record
layout or single record layout?

Are you deleting the categories completely from the database, or just
from showing in the layout?

Why do you think one of the actions doesn't work while the other
action still works?  (If that is the case.)  For the one which no
longer works, what happens - exactly?
