When Applesoft was introduced, it used up all of the ROM space (except the Monitor ROM space), and there was no room for the Mini-Assembler or the Programmer's Aid #1. They reappeared with the Language Card and the Apple Pascal "Basics" disk, and later also with the DOS 3.3 Master Disk.
Fortunately, the mini-assembler survives in the Applesoft ROMs--it was Step and Trace that were sacrificed. And the Programmer's Aid hi-res routines were integrated into Applesoft. -michael NadaPong: Network game demo for Apple II computers!
