I'd been searching UCSD & Texas Instruments stuff, came across bitsavers,
found a link to this particular mirror some months back.

I was on vacation (at home) saw this thread, and was actually kicking myself
because I knew I had the link bookmarked at work. Wasn't sure it was on the
site, so when I got to work last night I found the pdf on the PC and found
the link...

It is indeed a good read. I picked up a few ideas from his p-code optimizations. Randy Hyde is right up there with Michael Abrash when it comes to programming insight and writing ability. I may check out Randy's newer books too.
