Although I cannot enumerate all of Deckard's reasons, I can my
assistance.
As he indicates, this manual is rare, and I certainly have not
discovered it anywhere else.
EDD is an powerful bit copier; while we could debate favorites (copy
II plus, etc.) or "usefulness", I prefer to see it preserved AND
available - how many other ][ programs (and manuals) have disappeared
into the landfills of time... The main concern he had was he didn't
want to rip apart or damage his friend's manual to get high quality
scans for a pdf file, so he's doing this instead. He asked, I had a
little free time, and transcribing is quick and easy - he did the
heavy lifting by doing the scans, and we now have access to something
likely to never turn up on Ebay.
