Ah yes... I bought this game at my local B. Dalton's because I was into
astronomy and it seemed like it might be fun to play. I had to work that night,
so it had to wait until I got home ... like around 2am because I was closing.
So, it's really late when I get home, and pop the disk into the drive and turn
on my //e.... I sat down, waiting... patiently... the only sound is the drive
whirring away.
<Insert Halley Project opening noises here>
It startled the heck out of me - I wasn't expecting it, and it was actually
kind of loud (had the speaker routed through the Mockingboard and a pair of
external speakers>... I jumped and fell out of my chair, breaking my tail bone,
and bruising my knee (jammed it on the desktop). The dog freaked out and
started barking and suddenly, as I was laying there on the floor in pain, my
Mother comes running out, pistol in hand, yelling "who the hell's that?!" I
thought I was going to get shot.
Good times.
True story.
