Thanks for that information, and incidentally, to everyone who has
helped with this so far. Is there any place where I can get the TIFF
files - I'd perhaps be willing to OCR or type them in - I believe that
we're only talking 16KB. I guess that's at least 32768 keystrokes
though, assuming that Swyftware is a similar size to the Swyftcard
PROM. I'd probably need help in getting this back into Apple II format
afterwards after typing it in though (I know practically nothing about
the Apple II itself). If someone can help with getting the hex dump
into Apple II format after I type/OCR it in (and point me at the
TIFFs), I'd be willing to give this a go and thus, share the fruits of
our labour for everyone to enjoy. Having said that, I'd probably need
to check with Aza first, I wouldn't want to upset anyone re copyrights
or patents - I only want to see some of Jef's ideas running. Does
anyone else think this would be worth the effort, and do you think
that I'd upset anyone by trying to rebuild Swyftware from a hex dump?
A real Cat emulation would be the best thing, but I'm guessing that
getting some real Cat ROM dumps, not to mention, information re how
the hardware itself worked in order to write an emulator, would be
very difficult indeed.
P.S. I have tried Archy, but I'd love to see the original Swyftware,
and even more so, a Cat in action.
