After you brought this up, I noticed the exact same behavior on my ROM
3 IIgs with a Q-RAM GS Rev 2 board with 4 mb of RAM, in 1 MB SIMMs.

I swapped in a Practical Peripherals RAM GS, also with 4 MB, and the
copying of groups of files from my hard drive to the CFFA worked
fine.

The Q-RAM board has worked fine for me in GS/OS, DOS, and ProDOS
otherwise.
