The GS case was designed to cool by convection, and because of all the built-in
ports, Apple Engineers assumed the average user would only plug in 2 or 3 cards
maximum.
Also, take into account the length of the PCT, and even with a SSGS, the
airflow is disrupted.
My work-around(s) are:
Replace the SSGS fan with the fan from a SS2E - it's a better fan, and moves
more air... love those bearings.
If space allows, use a small muffin fan on the power supply to boost the SSGS
fan. Mount it backwards though, ie don't suck air out of the PS, suck it in,
and let the SSGS clear the air from the top.
Move the PCT to a lower slot.
And a future option - the LittlePower, which if it works as expected, you'll be
able to remove the PSU and use it (saving space) and it might have an aux power
for additional cooling fan.
