Rich,

You read my mind. I swapped out the Garberstreet Ram4GS with a 1MB
card and the problems went away - I was able to copy files to and from
with reckless abandon.

Then I put the ram4gs back in and downloaded the ramtester program on
the garberstreet website - it passes two tests and fails two others.

Then I checked back here and found your post, so I guess that's the
problem.

The Ram4GS uses 30-pin dimms, so I'll start swapping them and see what
happens. I'll post an update later.
