Agreed. Since the source is available these days, it would make an
interesting project to modify the existing interpreter to run from the
Auxiliary Language Card instead of main, and run atop ProDOS, treating
directories as UCSD 'Volumes', like the ports to other systems did.
There's certainly enough spare memory in the 128k Apple II to create
an environment with just as much available space as the existing 1.3
runtime provides.

Of course, whether or not it's interesting enough a project for
someone to take it on, is another story all together... ;-)
