Yeah there are a few cards out there now that will let you use a
Compact Flash card as a hard drive for an Apple II or IIGS. You might
want to check out this website to see all the stuff they have for the
Apple II line of computers:

I plan on adding their IIGS Microdrive IDE controller to my GS in a
year or so. Don't know if I'll get an Unthernet card or not, I kind of
like cruising the web with the Mac Mini and just transferring disk
images to the GS.
