The IIgs's case snaps open just as easily as the IIe's. Now, about that
IIc+ you won at KansasFest.... ;-)

Yes, although I was delighted to see that it no longer snaps
together--just a few screws.

And I find that I've never gotten proficient at popping a IIgs open--
maybe it's because I only do it a couple of times a year. My //e, on
the other hand, has its top semi-permanently off. ;-)

the way it greets you with a "program me" prompt when you turn it on!

You don't boot into Choplifter much, do you? :-)

Nope.  ;-)

I'd just like to point out that you can boot into Applesoft -- and
Choplifter -- just as easily on a IIgs as you can a IIe.

(That's why I can't get excited about emulation of a II on a modern
structural behemoth.)

I hear you there. If I can't plug a Disk II controller card into it, it's
not an Apple II. Now, about that IIc+ you won at KansasFest...* :-)

* a well-deserved victory I might add.  NadaPong rocks!

Thanks! Ironically, it won't run on the IIc+, because it "repurposed"
the annunciators.  ;-(
