The next step is figuring out the a2boot sequence. It may be that the
AsanteTalk makes this easier, as all the configuration can happen in
netatalk. With the Gatorbox, it doesn't put my Linux server in the
default net name where the Apple II looks for a boot server. I see
GATORnet and ISDnet. I have no way to configure the Gatorbox, so I'm
sort of stuck.
Or, you can grab the packages I uploaded to the "usual place" and basically
have the boot setup ready to go. There's a modified Ubuntu/debian source
package there that includes the stuff you just fought your way through.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but adding an extra newline once in a
while will create a syntactic entity known as a "paragraph". This, in turn,
makes it a bit easier for other folks to parse your messages.
The Gatorbox responds as a telnet server on the ethernet side. If you know
the address, just telnet into it. I think it's menu driven. There's also a
configuration app available. If you get stuck, contact me privately. Given
some time, I can scan the manual sections and get you a copy of the
configuration utility.
