- Automatic Mouth.



I got the card and I wanted to hear just how good the words are
pronounced.  The one that I have has a DAC on it...... see discussions
on Voltrax SC01/SC02.



I have never seen the version that was truly Software - driven.  How
does the card looked like?  What are the chips on the card?


There is no card--it's all software that runs on a standard
Apple II and "talks" through the speaker.

AH!!! no card!! Should have thought that out.  Otherwise how could it
be called 100% software - automated mouth.


Ironically, the first version I was aware of was the software version,
which was what I expected of a program called Software Automatic Mouth.

A couple of years later, I found the other version, and was surprised
to find that it came with a card.  It was widely reproduced in Hong Kong
and Taiwan, and the little speakers they used often "erased" the disk
when they were packaged together!
