Hello all.
Yesterday I managed to get to the cruddy local computer market after work.
There was one thing that caught my eye which unfortunately I didn't have the
cash for. It was a truly tiny ATX supply. It was far smaller than even
Mini-ATX and had an intriguing feature. The power connector was on the end
of a ~10cm cord mounted in a little box.
Incidentally the supply was IBM badged.
You may be wondering what this has to do with 8 bit Apples. I'm getting
there.
The shape of the supply would have allowed it to have even fit inside a IIgs
without massive modification. And leave a little space for a harddrive or
something too.
Just thought I'd give people a heads up that there do seem to be some PC
supplies small enough.
Remember that Powersupply modding is not for the faint-hearted. For those
who don't want to try it there are some really nice pre-made high power
supplies available.
For those who like to D.I.Y. and don't mind risking their equipment these
little supplies look good.
Tristan.
