I appreciate what you are trying to do Sean, but I, too, fail to
see how that doesn't open up the "declarer" to pestering or
criticism of moving too slowly...
Secrecy is the only thing I know that preserves complete autonomy
(at the cost of useful collaboration, of course). ;-)
And there is also the "failure mode" of dozens of "projects" that
are announced after being "imagined" and never make any headway toward
reality... (I have a bunch of those, most unannounced. ;-)
It looks like the right thing is for people who are seeking some
collaboration to announce their projects, while "lone wolf" projects
continue to live under the radar.
I think that a "clearinghouse" for public projects is a real value
to the community, and I'm glad you did it!
