Re: My Apple ][+ is now very, very sad...

More updates!

I've just spent a good half hour poking and prodding at chips and I
haven't gotten any results, though a few times the board bottomed out
and hit the case, thankfully all that happened was a reset. Also, I
sat a pushed the reset button for a good two or three minutes or so,
and sometimes, but very rarely, I'd get a normal looking screen with
crisp graphics, but right when I let go of the reset key, the waves
return.

Right now I'm in the process of unscrewing the case, I'm going to
remove the board and look for any shorts or burned spots on the bottom
of the board that might give something away, as well as if there are
any problems around the video area. I'll also try running it caseless.

Quick thought- maybe the PSU is causing some weird interference? (The
fact that I can get a clear screen if I keep resetting makes me think
not) I can take the PSU out of my //e to test this. Also, is there any
chance the CPU from my //e will work in it? Its a 65C02, so I doubt
it. And the whats keeping the //e from working may as well be the
processor, so who knows.
