Tom, that's brilliant!  It worked!  Simply amazing detective work.

Now, what would you recommend I do so that I can automate it?  Is there 
a way of putting this into a Hello file that would enter those commands 
in each time?  That would save me from laboriously typing all that in 
each time?

Also, I use the old hold down the Escape key to put the IIc+ into 1 MHz 
mode, but is there a way of doing that via software command instead?  It 
would be great if I could create one disk that would have Choplifter on 
it and simply boot it up and know that everything was taken care of!
