That's the deal with every LCD monitor I've tried. They all attempt
to show color (even when the color-killer is on... you can tell,
because the shadows are redish until you hit HGR, when they turn
greenish). But if I can fool them into going mono in one way or
another... the text is, as you say, razor-sharp. Momentary
disconnection/reconnection of the cable gives me a split-second of
bliss, for example. I wish I could tell my modern, super-smart LCD
monitors to just pretend they're B&W.
