It's not the first one that goes for so much.
These other 2 are still in my "watching" list :

# 110126580749 went for $1026
# 250108886034 went for $2581

But I've seen lately several others, the one you say is at least the
fourth sold for more than $2000 in a few months, but as they are no
longer in my "watching" list I can't tell what item numbers they had.

I use to bid in the last 10-20 seconds of an auction, but as the
prices went so high I didn't even bid, although I would have loved to
buy any or all of them... :-)

Back then I never had a II+ nor a IIe. For me, this ones are the only
ones, the truly originals. I guess I'm not the only one who thinks so.

It has to have memory jumper blocks, a silver power supply, the power
light that looks like a keycap, the old keyboard with a single pcb,
and the non-rfi case. Of course, the sticker on the lid shouldn't read
"plus". Better if the fingers of the firmware and disk II cards aren't
gold plated. The brown carrying bag is also a big plus. And a small
Sanyo/OPC green phosphor monitor with the handle on the top, the one
that fits nicely by the disk II side over the II. And the disk II flat
cables shouldn't be gray, but multicolor. The cheap radio-shack
cassette is optional, though... :-)

A few months ago somebody sold a wonderful SWTPC PR-40 but I was late
to bid. I always liked this monster :

isn't it cute ?
