: In CFforAppleII_Manual_1.0 it said the SanDisk CF cards
: manage or map out bad sectors dynamically. Do all or most

I have yet to come across one that doesn't.

Are we comparing new to old, or new to when it was new?
I'd expect something new to outlast something that is
10-20 years old.

You should see less bytes immediately, even on a brand
new card, because of the percentage of bits set aside
for the purpose of mapping out future bad sectors.
