Re: Joystick Extension Cable?

Where to get a 16-pin extension cable, and a 9-pin extension cable?
I plan to connect a KoalaPad to the 16-pin port and a regular joystick
to the other one and need about 5'-6' distance from the main computer
(since it will be near a TV).
They would be easy to make with ribbon cable and insulation-displacement
connectors.
You can't parallel joystick devices, so the KoalaPad would have to be
disconnected while the joystick was being used, and vice versa. The
9-pin port just contains a subset of the signals on the internal 16-pin
game port--the common signals are the same wires.
Since there are actually 4 joystick (paddle) inputs, you could also
jumper a cable to put "paddle 0 and 1" into "paddle 2 and 3" inputs,
but your software would have to tolerate the reassignment.
