Shrinking a BSC file, which is the usual extension given to BINSCII
files that do not contain ShrinkIt files (and hopefully no other type
of
compressed file), will result in a ShrinkIt file that is smaller than
the BSC file. The same problem with multiple unshrinking/
unBINSCII'ing
still exists though. Better to shrink the file and then BINSCII it to
make a BSQ file if you need to transmit it over a 7 bit connection.

Maybe the problem was that there were shrinkit files in the BSC
files..and if I read your above statement correctly, if there were
shrinkit files, it should have been a BSQ extension. At any rate,
Biscit would not de-code the BSC archive correctly. Once I got GSCii
installed and ran it on the same BSC archive (gscii.bsc), it decoded
it correctly, and I was able to run ShrinkitGS and Un-archive the
files and everything works correctly. I appreciate all the info, as I
learned a lot from this.....and got a headache ;)
