But most of the machines that launched the personal computing revolution are 
older than 20 now - several are 30 plus, or almost there.

My Apple II isn't obsolete - it's middle-aged. When it has it's mid-life 
crisis, I'll put an accelerator in it and buy it some new peripherals.
