I believe v2.2 was released in 1998 as that was the year I did beta
testing on 2 to 4 projects but couldn't make it to KFest to enjoy all
the announcements.

If I remember correctly I was beta testing Marinetti v2.0, Spectrum
v2.2, GSoft BASIC v1.0 and NiftySpell v1.0.  I didn't help much on
NiftySpell because I was inadvertently dropped from the beta test
mailing list and didn't notice the lack of message traffic there because
of all the work I was doing on the other three projects.  :-)
