Got it!!! I took apart the centronics connector on the ribbon cable. Moved it down carefully keeping the same orientation and put the connector back together. Cut off the damaged portion of the cable. Found the pdf of the Grappler + card and set the dip switches to the HP Think Jet and YEAH BABY!!! Rock and Roll!!!
