By the way the CF card is 256MB and has 8 Prodos partitions on it.
They
were formatted on a IIGS while the card was installed in a MicroDrive.



I think that it probably won't be possible to access beyond the first
partition. Have you got a way to read the first block of this CF ? Do
the first bytes look like this ?

No, the MicroDrive partition table will be there, not ProDOS block 0.

Note that if this CF card had been ProDOS-formatted in a CFFA, there
would be no partition table on the card, so the first partition *would*
be accessible.
